What our parents say……

I would highly recommend Withycombe Raleigh preschool to anyone who is looking for a educational setting that is warm, welcoming and fun for their child

She adores all the staff that work there, its easy to see why as every member interacts wonderfully with each child, always positive and encouraging.

I’m a mum of a 3 year old little boy who has been going to withycombe preschool for the last year and he loves it 🙂 He can’t wait to get inside in the morning to start playing with his friends and all the staff there. He is very happy to be left there the staff have made him feel very welcome right from day one.

He loves all the different things they do every day especially playing outside. He has come on in leaps and bounds with his confidence and his talking since he started. He now also listens to other adults more and he even listens to us more at home.

The staff are always there to listen to us parent’s if we have a problem or just need to ask anything. The difference in just one year in him is great and its down to the hard work all the staff put in every day’

The staff are always professional while being friendly and welcoming. They always ensure I am informed and kept up to date with the development and welfare of my daughter, with regular reports and meetings. In terms of assessments, the staff ensure my child is always learning through her play and is allowed to develop at her own pace, while using her interest and abilities to encourage this.

They are able to use a person centred approach to their teaching that allows the children to be themselves while flourishing in the setting. The staff make learning fun and inclusive, making time to work on a 1:1 basis as well as in groups to encourage learning on all levels.

The most important thing for me, is that my child enjoys going to preschool and is always happy to walk through the door. I know she feels safe and comfortable while she is there and she has made many friends. My daughter speaks highly of all the teachers and it is apparent that they truly care for the children in the setting.

All of my children have fond memories of preschool and still enjoy visiting on open/event days. The children have always happy to be there and that is all down to the care and hard work of the staff.

My son currently attending is very well looked after and I consider the setting to be safe and I know he’s in the best hands. He always comes home full of smiles and his social skills have increased tremendously. As have his numeracy and ability to recognise letters, colours etc. He chatters about all he has done in the day and the friends he has played with

My daughter enjoys preschool and often tells me about the fun things she does there. Frequent Tapestry updates enable me to have more discussions with her about what she has been doing, and the photos help her to remember more details about her day. She also loves to tell me about all the different things she has had for snacks, particularly when she has been involved in making it.

The staff engage with the children and have built strong relationships. They allow them to progress at their own pace but never making them feel as if they are ‘learning’ simply having fun and playing.
